Operating system reinstall

In some cases operating systems can get so badly damaged, after years of not being maintained, that they need a complete repair. What this usually means is that you need to have a reinstall of the operating system. It's a bit like buying a new computer, except that it's your old one that's taken back in time to where it was when you bought it. Except that all your precious data remains in place. But you've got yourself a completely fresh installation of your operating system and programs.Our price: £75 plus VAT!

24 hour turnaround

If the work entails taking your computer off to the safety of our workshop, rest assured, we always try to get your computer back to you within 24 hours. We know that you'll miss it even if it was a beast to use! We take great care with your data, and care of the hardware itself. We make backups if necessary, but usually we don't need to do anything with your documents, pictures, music etc. That all stays untouched and in place. We just point your new user profile to it once we've done a reinstall.

Hard drive

One very unfortunate problem lots of people get is hard drive failure. We can fit replacement hard drives, reinstall software and set up your computer again. If you've got a backup, we'll use that. Or we can try to recover data from your old hard drive.

Memory, CPU, motherboard

If your computer has become slow and struggles to keep up with the tasks you're asking of it, then maybe you'd like to consider an upgrade of all the components that are a weak point in the chain. Memory upgrades can be a real benefit. Hard drives with more space, more speed, a bigger cache. Sometimes you can replace it all for a better price than if you went out and bought a new computer.
