Laptop Repair
Laptops are more prone to getting faults than desktop Apple Macs or PCs. They get dropped, the kids get their hands on them(!), spillages occur, the power socket starts to wobble around. If air isn't getting to the hottest components - to the heatsinks on the CPU or graphics chip, the laptop will overheat. This may lead to component failure.

Broken power socket
A very common problem with laptops due to the amount of use they get. Forces acting on the power socket when the power plug is left in it during travel or just during everyday use, can eventually break the socket or the solder joints on your laptop's motherboard. Sockets are usually quite inexpensive - £5 to £20. Labour is usually £45 plus VAT.
| Desktop computer
One major cause of failure in a desktop is hard drive failure. We can carry out data recovery, so you may find that all is not lost. We can then supply a new hard drive and do a complete software reinstall. You might like to consider using a solid state hard drive (SSD). This would really improve startup times, and general data reading and writing during use. It's also less prone to failure than a conventional hard drive.
Won't power on?
Another major device in desktops which might fail is the power supply unit (PSU). If there is no life at all when you press the power on button on your desktop PC or Mac, it's more often than not due to a dead PSU. The good news is this is easily fixed and does not cost the earth. It can be done on the spot, onsite in your own home or office too.
Overheating or noisy
Most computers generate quite a lot of heat in normal use. But if components get too hot they may develop serious problems over time. So there's usually quite a lot of air flowing through heatsinks in order to keep your components cool. You may hear a lot of noise If the fans or heatsinks that provide cooling to critical components become clogged up with dust. You may also find that your computer is slow, or suddenly shuts down or restarts. Our special 1 hour service will get your desktop computer back on track.
Graphics card, motherboard, memory
These components are easy
